About

I have always been curious.

Not just about what happened, but why.

I am curious about people, systems, leadership, organisational culture, strategy, money, faith and life – why people do what they do, why systems work the way they do, how organisations become what they are, how we learn to relate to money, what faith looks like in real life, and how all of these things shape the way we live and become. I am fascinated by the connections between things, especially the ones we don’t notice until we stop and ask, why?

I ask a lot of questions and have a tendency to follow a thought further than it probably needs to go. Sometimes I am trying to understand something. Sometimes I am making sense of something I’ve experienced. Sometimes I’ve learned something worth sharing.

I write because writing helps me think. It gives me somewhere to put the questions and connect a few dots. I don’t always get it right. I have my blind spots, as we all do, and I am still learning to recognise some of mine. Perhaps that’s part of the reason I enjoy writing: the process often reveals something I hadn’t seen before.

Hi, I am Belinda.

A child of Africa, a leader without a title (yet 😊), a curious thinker learning new things in every season.

By day, I work in stakeholder relations. Outside of work, I’m usually sleeping, giving unsolicited advice (like all African aunties), reading, writing, learning something new, thinking about money, or following a thought wherever it leads.
